Exterior House Painting is a fantastic way to improve the appearance of your home without the expense of a full remodeling project. From a practical standpoint, new paint also adds a fresh coat of protection from the elements. Perhaps you have been wondering about an affordable way to make your home look like new again; if so, we may be the answer.
Kruse Painting has been a residential contractor for almost 20 years, we have the experience and the skill to do a professional job on your home. We follow a set of guidelines that produces positive results consistently, which translates into very happy customers.
When you call us, the first thing we will do is schedule a convenient time to come out and look at your house in order to provide an estimate. If you are calling several contractors for estimates, keep in mind that some will offer to do this just by telephone. We will not do this, because it is really impossible to give an accurate estimate without actually seeing the house. The estimate that we provide will list all details, including the cost and when we will have the job completed.
When work begins on your exterior house painting, the first step is to insure that we are working with an entirely clean surface. A surface that is free of dirt and debris is critical, because that is what allows the paint to completely adhere to your house. The exterior of your house is cleaned by pressure washing. We end up with a very clean surface by using high-pressure water (we control the pressure) combined with a mild soap specially designed for this purpose.
One more thing before the painting can begin: we examine the entire surface of the house to see if any areas need to be repaired. We take care of those small carpentry repairs with a repair compound that is designed for exterior use. We also remove old caulk that is probably dry and cracked, and re-caulk the areas that require it (trim around windows and doors). We use an exterior-rated caulk on which we can paint. We also do a complete gutter cleaning at no additional charge – our customers love that because no homeowner wants to get up there and do that job!
